Terms & Conditions of Entry:
We would like everyone to enjoy their time visiting our Lavender fields and we have just a few simple rules in place. First and foremost, we are an operating farm on private property, please visit with respect. Hahndorf Lavender Estate accepts no liability for any loss, damage or injury arising from a visit to our farm. By purchasing a ticket, you are agreeing to enter at your own risk and Hahndorf Lavender Estate will not be liable for injury.
There are inherent risks in entering the Lavender fields. By entering, visitors accept the inherent risks of which a prudent person is or should be aware. Visitors should also always act prudently given these inherent risks.
Visitors must act with good judgement and consideration, both for themselves and others and refrain from behavior or acts which could affect their safety or the safety of other patrons. Anyone not meeting the conditions of entry will be politely asked to leave and will not be refunded for their ticket.
ENTRY IS ONLY PERMITTED DURING SESSION TIMES WITH A VALID TICKET. No other entry is permitted outside of these session times. Please choose the correct date/time and make sure you can attend before purchasing. Changes can be made to your bookings via your confirmation email. If you can’t attend your booking, please change prior as we capacity allocations per time slot.
LOCATION: Hahndorf Lavender Estate is located just outside of Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills, 25 minutes from the Adelaide CBD. Address details will be provided to all ticket purchasers. Please enter and exit the property with caution.
SESSION TIMES: Each session is 90 minutes. Due to the booking schedule, extensions of this are unable to be arranged on the day. We ask that you do not arrive more than 10 mins before your allocated time and please leave once your session is finished.
CHILDREN UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE: Children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult and must be supervised at all times.
PETS ARE ALLOWED on the property. Please be respectful to your fellow pickers and always have them on leads.
BEES: Please be aware that Lavender attracts bees which will be present during your session. If you are allergic to bees, we strongly recommend that you bring the appropriate medication in case you get stung.
PARKING: Limited parking is available please carpool where possible. Please follow instructions from our parking team if the carpark is full. We will not be liable for any parking accidents. We require visitors to leave once their session is finished.
ACCESSIBILITY: Unfortunately, our paddocks are not flat or smooth and there may be a distance to travel from the carpark to the lavender fields. Please contact us to discuss access if assistance is required before purchasing tickets.
PICKING AREA: Attendees must stay within the allocated picking areas of the Lavender fields. This also includes no climbing trees, fences, or other objects. Please do not pick any other plant material.
OUR LAVENDER: Please note that Lavender only flowers once a year and will vary in length, stem size and flower size. Please be respectful only pick the stems that you intend to take with you and leave the rest for others.
PHOTOGRAPHY: Visitors are encouraged to take photos for personal use during their visit to Hahndorf Lavender Estate. We allow professional photography, but they also must purchase a ticket to enter the farm.
STRICTLY NO SMOKING OR VAPING whilst on the property and it is currently Fire Danger Season. Anyone seen smoking or vaping will be asked to leave immediately.
CFS-DECLARED CATASTROPHIC FIRE DAYS: The farm will be closed on CFS-declared catastrophic fire days and all sessions will be cancelled. In the event of this occurring, we will work with ticket purchasers to reschedule for another session time.
DRONES: Drones are allowed on the property but please be mindful of other guests.
BATHROOMS: There are bathrooms on-farm for paid guests. Public toilets are available in Hahndorf main street.
FOOD & DRINK: There is coffee, alcohol, and snacks available at the farm. We encourage you to explore the amazing food venues in the Hahndorf if you want a full meal.
RUBBISH: Please do not leave rubbish on our farm and place in the designated general or recycling waste bins.
BIOSECURITY: Please do not touch or interact with the animals during your visit.
COMPANION CARDS: Hahndorf Lavender Estate recognises the national Government issued Companion Card and Carer Australia Card. Free entry is offered for one carer accompanying the cardholder when using one of the approved cards.
Farming happens rain or sunshine, as does Lavender picking. Please be mindful of the forecast weather when booking your ticket. In the event of an electrical storm, all efforts will be made to reschedule your booking.
